After months of anticipation, preparation and an extensive amount of scouting, the Face of Brighton Journey concluded with a bang in Churchill Square shopping centre on Saturday, where the finalists participated in a live catwalk show, all competing to be crowned the face of Brighton & win a prestigious contract with models 1, home to models such as Agyness Deyn & Rosie-Huntington-Whiteley.

The event attracted a huge amount of public support, with crowds of people spilling over the centre's balconies trying to catch a glimpse of the talented hopefuls strutting down the catwalk. The twelve finalists sported a multitude of sylish looks, put together by top stylist Graham Cruz, showcasing clothes from leading retailers such as Zara, USC & Miss Selfridge.

A collection of professional makeup artists & hairstylists worked relentlesslyy throughout the day, ensuring the models were ready to impress the agencies new face bookers Alice & Sherril, who sat eagerly in the wings, deliberating who would receive those valuable contracts.

Along with the catwalk show, a whole host of performers entertained the fervent crowds whilst they waited to find out the winner, including urban dance troop passion, acoustic folk singer Nadege and break-dancing pensioner & local celebrity Peter Turner. There was also an appearance from Models 1 new faces & previous winners of the competition, who passed on valuable advice to this years finalists.

The lights were dimmed and the crowds fell silent, and during the final show late afternoon, the winners were announced. After beating hundreds of applicants, Will Higginson, 19 from Brighton & Jodie Tucker, 17 from Portslade were announced as the new Faces of Brighton and were met with bouquets flowers and roars of support from their friends and family in the crowd. Will was one of the very first males scouted back at Digital in September, and said he was 'ecstatic' to have been provided with such a rare opportunity and couldn't wait to get to work. Jodie no stranger to the Face of Brighton after being a runner up in last years competition, shook with excitement after her name was called out on stage and held back tears whilst being interviewed on Camera. Jodies determination and perseverance proved to the runners up their Journey is certainly not finished.
